A few of the wonderful people helping Ashley and Ryan on their big day!

Shannon (Prescott) Caffey
Shannon is the sister of the bride! She and I used to dress up in bride costumes when we were little, I stood by her side when she got married last year, and couldn't imagine my big day without her. Ashley and Shannon both work in healthcare, though Shannon is the lifesaver. She's an ICU nurse by night, and a trendy LuLaRoe style consultant by day. She's the living embodiment of our maternal grandparents--a cardiac surgeon and off-Broadway clothing designer. I'm amazed by all that she has accomplished and excited to have her by my side throughout life.
Matron of Honor

Kim Wong
Kim and Ashley go way back. Our friendship was molded in ceramics class in high school. We conquered AP classes and varsity sports together, and both graduated from Pepperdine (though Kim did a victory lap to get her MBA!). We have one of those friendships where each time we see each other, we pick up the conversation as if we'd been talking every minute of the day. Kim is a wonderful friend who is full of sage advice, an extremely athletic soccer foot (and voice--she coaches a championship men's team!), and fun! We share an affinity for sparkles, sports, and sweets and I am delighted to have her in our life.
Maid of Honor

Brittney Hykal
Brittney and Ashley met while modeling for J. Crew on a yacht in Seattle during SeaFair. Psych! We are Northwest-loving "San Freattle" soul sisters. Brittney is one of the most inspiring people I know--she's witty, fiercely passionate, full of brilliant life advice, she sings like an angel, and she is truly beautiful inside and out. Ryan and I are spoiled to have Britt and her wonderful significant other Luke in our lives and have them both stand by our side on our big day!
Bridesmaid

Ashley Welling
Ashley W. and Ashley P. (also known as Welling and PresHOTT) are soul friends. We share an affinity for the color purple, exquisite comedic taste (*Family Guy*), a love of writing, nature, photography, Seattle and the name Ashley. Welling was my roommate at Pepperdine. She makes me laugh more than anyone I know, she's brilliant and I've lived vicariously through her travels to Scotland for her Masters and in her current life in Seattle.
Bridesmaid

Kai Lin Tay
Kai Lin and Ashley met in Sausalito while working on a little car brand called MINI Cooper. We bonded because Kai Lin had recently moved from Seattle and I am a magnet for people associated with the Pacific Northwest. Originally hailing from Singapore, she is our furthest traveled friend, and we're delighted to have her in the city! Kai Lin is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She had the patience to take our engagement photos for five whole hours!

Josh Hosking
Josh and Ryan have been friends since middle school when they met at a chess club event. However, Josh and I really grew our friendship in high school as we helped each other in math class (or more realistically, Josh helping me), talked about girls, friend drama, and whatever typical high school drama we encountered. We've kept our friendship strong after moving to different cities and have talked about this wedding since well before I ever met Ashley. In fact, Josh was the first to predict that I'd end up marrying Ashley in the end.
Best Man

Chris Brohard
Chris and Ryan technically met in Kindergarten, but their friendship really began in middle school when they teamed up to write their our own trilogy together (no, we'll never share it so don't ask). Chris and I have literally spent thousands of hours on the phone together growing up. We'd go home after spending the day together at school, and continue our conversation from earlier in the day over the phone...for hours. Chris and I have one of those friendships where, no matter how long it's been since we last talked, we can pick up exactly where we left off like no time had passed at all.
Groomsman

Luke Segars
Luke and Ryan met when he started dating Ashley's bridesmaid, Britt. It didn't take long to discover that we were both closet nerds and a lifelong friendship began. The common joke between the two couples is that Luke and I end up talking to each other more than Ashley and Britt, despite them being friends a lot longer. The four of us have gone on several trips together down the coast of California, boating in Seattle, and skiing at Lake Tahoe.
Groomsman

Nick Wright
Nick and Ryan met during their freshman year of college. It all started when Nick heard me playing on my guitar in my dorm room. He saw my dorm room open, walked in, and we instantly hit it off. Eventually, we'd be playing tunes together, recording music, and having philosophical chats in an apartment of our own. Nick has always been a silly, nice, respectful guy but has no problem calling me out when he knows I could be doing better. It's one of the main reasons why he's been one of my closest friends since college.
Groomsman

Robert Eusanio
Robert and Ryan have had a unique relationship. A lot of siblings would fight a lot growing up, but Robert and I never really had that problem. Maybe it was being so far a part in age, or maybe it was just the interests that we shared, but we've always been really close. Now that I've moved out, Robert comes and visits me in SF for extended weekends in order to hang out, playing video games, and explore the city together.
